About
AMS Band

Aldine Middle School opened in 1930 and has grown to an enrollment of over 900 students. The school is located in northeast Houston, Texas. The band is under the direction of Ernest Bottlinger, Kelly Connell, and Oliver Hellberg. After middle school, students go on to McArthur Senior High School, Nimitz Senior High School, and Aldine Senior High School.

The band program at Aldine Middle School has an enrollment of over 300 students. Students at Aldine Middle School start their band experience in 6th grade in homogeneous beginner band class . Students in seventh and eighth grade are divided into ability-based performing bands: honor band, symphonic band, and concert band. The AMS Bands enjoy performing several concerts within the community throughout the year and consistently receive superior ratings at UIL Concert and Sightreading and various state festivals.
